Job summary

CITITRENDS, Inc. is seeking a Sales Associate to deliver excellent customer service and maintain knowledge of merchandise. The role requires proactive engagement with customers, integrity, clear communication, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic retail environment.

The Sales Associate will help build a positive work culture, support change management, and assist the Store Management team in daily operations while wearing a name tag and maintaining a neat appearance.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Processes freight.
• Assisting with price changes/markdowns.
• Balances register according to company policy.
• Bags merchandise efficiently when completing a customer's transaction.
• Handles all cash, checks and credit cards correctly and by company policy.
• Obtains management approval when needed for returns, voids and checks.
• Handles maintenance and housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Provides proper customer service such as greeting customers, abiding by fitting room policies, ringing customers in promptly, and inviting them to return.
• Follows all safety procedures.
• Maintains professional, neat appearance with name tag.
• Assists management in merchandising the sales floor according to stock levels.
• Explains exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions.
• Supports Loss Prevention procedures with management to prevent shoplifting and cash losses.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
