Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Receiving/Accounting Assistant to perform receiving, accounting, and distribution duties for incoming product deliveries. You will ensure product integrity, process invoices, and support the store and regional teams in accounts payable and inventory close.

The role requires at least 12 months of retail experience and a willingness to work in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment with strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 12+ months retail experience.
• Experience in distribution or receiving environment preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Verify product against purchase orders and supplier paperwork.
• Confirm product integrity and temperatures as needed.
• Process and file invoices with proper stamps and initials.
• Close purchase orders in the store purchasing system accurately.
• Distribute processed paperwork to teams and regional office.
• Assist vendors with accounts payable follow-up.
• Support accounting processes during inventory and period close.
• Maintain baler, compactor and environmental areas in proper order.
• Arrive on time and be prepared for all shifts and trainings.
