Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a dedicated team member for receiving, accounting, and distribution operations related to incoming deliveries. You will verify orders, ensure product quality, and support accounting processes during inventory close.

The role requires strong knowledge of store receiving procedures, safety standards, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent service to customers and Team Members.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of store receiving, accounting, and distribution procedures and policies.
• Working knowledge and application of WFM quality goals, food handling, safety, and other standards.
• Ability to educate team on product knowledge and convey enthusiasm.
• Knowledge and ability to use computer programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and IRMA.
• Strong to excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.
• Ability to deliver information clearly to team, customers, and vendors.
• Ability to meet customer service expectations and standards in all interactions.
• Ability to follow directions, manage time, and stay organized.
• Passion for natural foods and Whole Foods Market mission.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Verify actual product against Purchase Orders and supplier paperwork.
• Confirm product integrity.
• Check product temperatures as needed.
• Stamp, initials, process, and file invoices.
• Distribute invoice copies to teams when applicable.
• Follow Whole Foods Market Correct Pay Procedures.
• Close purchase orders in the store purchasing system.
• Adhere to Receiving standards as outlined in Store Process.
• Distribute processed paperwork to team mailboxes and regional office.
• Follow up with vendors regarding accounts payable.
• Support product teams with accounting during inventory close.
• Distribute store expense invoices to Store Leadership.
• Maintain baler, compactor, and environmental areas in proper working order.
• Arrive on time and be prepared for shifts and trainings.
