Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to maintain a safe environment for customers and associates while deterring theft. You will greet customers, monitor entrances, and coordinate with store leadership to minimize shortages.

The role requires high school education (AA preferred) and 1 year of loss prevention or retail supervisory training. A valid security guard license is preferred, with opportunities for growth within a Fortune 500 company.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent required.
• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and secure environment for associates and customers.
• Provides visible command presence at store entrances/exits and on sales floor.
• Gathers theft indicators and communicates findings to leadership.
• Assists store leadership with Loss Prevention directives and shortage minimization.
• Trains and educates associates on shortage reduction initiatives.
• Ensures professional appearance and adherence to dress code.
• Performs other duties as assigned to support Loss Prevention initiatives.
