Job summary

Ross Stores in California is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to safeguard customers and associates while maintaining a safe store environment. You will monitor entrances, greet customers, and deter theft through strong presence and adherence to company policies.

Responsibilities include partnering with store leadership, communicating effectively, training teammates on shortage reduction, and upholding Ross's brand standards. Prior LP or security experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• One year retail supervisor experience or related training.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active security guard license preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must be able to comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and secure environment at store entrances/exits and on the sales floor.
• Provides visible command presence and prominent greetings to deter theft.
• Remains mindful of safety, ensuring clear egress and reporting issues.
• Interacts with customers in a courteous manner and answers questions.
• Collaborates with Store Leadership and Loss Prevention to minimize shortages.
• Performs other duties to support Loss Prevention initiatives as needed.
