Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking a Security Specialist to provide a visible presence at store entrances/exits, deter theft, and support a safe environment for associates and customers in our California stores. You will walk the floor, monitor for suspicious activity, and collaborate with Store Leadership to follow Loss Prevention directives while upholding our brand standards.

Requirements include a minimum of one year of retail supervisory or loss-prevention experience, and a preferred active Security

Qualifications

• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must be able to comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and secure environment for associates and customers.
• Provides visible command presence at store entrances/exits and on the sales floor.
• Monitors for potential safety issues and escorts safe egress.
• Gathers theft indicators and communicates with leadership.
• Executes loss prevention best practices and minimizes shortage.
