Job summary

Lowe's Companies, Inc. is seeking a store leader to oversee a team of supervisors and associates across product categories. You will drive service, sales, inventory, and safety programs while coaching and developing staff to meet daily goals.

You will model customer-focused behaviors, manage staffing and expenses, and act as MOD to ensure smooth store operations and strong customer interactions.

Qualifications

• 2 Years Experience leading associates in a retail environment.
• 3 Years Experience working in a fast-paced, cross- functional work environment
• 1 Year Experience performing manager-on-duty responsibilities, including management of daily store operations and processes within and beyond assigned areas of responsibility
• 1 Year Experience directly managing a team of sales associates (commissioned or non-commissioned) in retail, business-to-business, outside sales, or consumer service industry (Specialty ASM)
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience in retail store freight flow logistics (Operations ASM)

Responsibilities

• Interviews, selects, develops and provides direct leadership over a team of supervisors and associates that support product categories in assigned area
• Models the behaviors that deliver SMART customer service, keep in-stock position, and maintain store cleanliness and safety
• Sets clear, measurable service and operational goals and tracks progress daily
• Connects with the team regularly to understand challenges and remove obstacles
• Provides recognition and feedback to team for performance and goals
• Coaches, trains, and mentors team members and encourages open communication
• Manages performance against goals and addresses concerns with supervisors
• Empowers others to make decisions while providing guidance
• Addresses associate relations concerns and escalates as needed
• Drives execution of service, reset, pricing and operational programs in area
• Identifies barriers to superior service and communicates solutions
• Serves as escalation point for significant customer complaints
• Manages store opening and closing procedures
• Controls payroll and other expenses with staffing plans
• Keeps knowledge of industry trends and applies insights
• Identifies inventory and merchandising gaps to improve in-stock, sales and margins
• Enhances Pro customer experience and Pro sales
• Addresses operational issues impacting service levels or sales goals
• Monitors use of store equipment and enforces safety
• Fosters culture of safety, security and shrink prevention
• Provides leadership as MOD and drives engagement and staffing
• Walks the store offering in-the-moment coaching to boost customer engagement
• Ensures proper staffing for customer traffic
• Manages associate responses to call buttons
• Ensures aisles are clean and safe
• Redirects non-MOD tasks appropriately
• Seeks feedback and pursues self-development
