ShopRite of Cardiff seeks an Assistant Store Director to help lead daily store operations across perishable and non-perishable areas, acting as Manager on Duty. You will guide associates, supervise QA, safety, and service levels, and drive initiatives to improve sales, profits, and customer experience in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role requires strong leadership, policy enforcement, and a focus on continuous improvement to deliver great customer service and store performance.

Qualifications

• Ability to make decisions to improve business results.
• Excellent reading/writing/speaking English skills.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods.
• Proficiency with basic computer functions.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs and occasionally up to 60 lbs.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day operations of the store and supervise staff.
• Lead and mentor Store Team Members to achieve goals.
• Ensure safety, QA, and compliance across departments.
• Maintain customer experience and associate engagement.
• Oversee merchandising, pricing, inventory, and store conditions.
