Job summary

Dollar Tree in Highlands Ranch, CO is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, and ensure accurate merchandise handling and loss prevention.

The role involves supervising store associates, training staff, and maintaining a safe, clean, and friendly shopping environment. This is a part-time position with responsibilities across opening/closing, payroll, and inventory control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and handle frequent walking, standing, and bending.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy team environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives including payroll, scheduling, and cash handling, and respond to store communications.
• Maintain storefront fixtures and displays to ensure promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
