Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in a fast-paced retail environment in Colorado. You will assist with daily functions, help customers, organize merchandise, and participate in opening/closing duties while ensuring compliance and loss prevention standards.

The role emphasizes leadership, training, and maintaining a clean, organized store with a positive atmosphere for customers and associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and daily activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address inquiries.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Follow corporate directives and document store activities as required.
• Maintain fixtures, displays, and overall promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering, processing damaged merchandise, and record-keeping (payroll, scheduling, deposits).
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect store assets, including cash, and adhere to safety policies.
• Support Store Manager in training and development of Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
