Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help with opening/closing tasks, merchandise transfers, and maintaining clean, organized areas of the store.

The role emphasizes strong communication, leadership, and a service-oriented approach in a fast-paced retail environment. Training and ongoing supervision of associates are included as part of responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Experience leading store operations in retail or grocery environments is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical store duties.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment and supervise others.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Provide friendly customer service and address questions or concerns.
• Organize transfers from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Conduct opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Support payroll, scheduling, cash deposits, and loss prevention tasks.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect store assets including cash; adhere to safety policies.
• Assist Store Manager in training and developing Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, respectful environment for customers and staff.
