Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Bradford, PA to help keep a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. Under the Store Manager, you will supervise staff, assist with merchandising, deposits, and paperwork, and perform stocking and cashier duties to maximize profitability and protect assets.

This role requires strong communication, problem solving, and reliability, with opportunities for growth within our hourly store leadership team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one year in retail; six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong math and cash handling accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; operate cash register and scanner to itemize purchases.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling employees, providing training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Follow work processes to manage merchandise: receiving, stocking, restocking and displays.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by controlling damages, markdowns, scanning, paperwork and controls.
• Assist with planograms and product presentation per Store Manager direction.
• Ensure financial integrity through cashier accountability, deposits, and cash control procedures; sign for refunds/overrides.
• Assist with management of the store in the Store Manager's absence.
