Job summary

SpartanNash, a leader in food solutions, seeks a Store Operations Associate to assist in the absence of the Store Director. This role focuses on efficiency, policy adherence, customer service, and maintaining a safe, well-stocked store.

You will inspect areas, manage time clock, assist customers, know product locations, and follow safety, PPE, and guest experience guidelines. The role may involve lifting up to 50 lbs and variable travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• 1 year retail or related experience preferred.
• Able to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Suggestive selling/knowledge of products.
• Detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Monitor associates’ adherence to company policies.
• Run cashier register and courtesy desk and handle customer concerns efficiently.
• Know store layout and safety/emergency equipment locations.
• Conduct regular inspections and provide feedback to managers.
• In absence of Store Director or department manager, manage time clock maintenance.
• May close store: lock doors, turn off lights, arm store.
• Know product locations to assist customers.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store.
• Follow PPE, safety, food safety, cleaning, and guest experience guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments.
