Job summary

Goodwill-Industries-of-South-Central-California is seeking a Retail Store Supervisor - PM to oversee daily store activities, process donations, and ensure excellent customer service. The role requires at least 6 months of related experience, strong math and communication skills, and a commitment to Goodwill's values.

The supervisor will assist with cash handling, records, safety, and staff supervision. This is a non-exempt, on-site position based in Bakersfield, CA, supporting the Retail

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 6 months experience in a Material Handler II or Retail Clerk II position, or equivalent external experience.
• Ability to read and write.
• Knowledge of basic math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages).
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills to interact with management, employees, clients and the public.

Responsibilities

• Oversee store activities to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and proper security of donated merchandise.
• Process incident and production reports promptly and accurately.
• Assist in opening/closing store processes and tracking production goals.
• Handle cash register operations, deposits, drops and reconciliation.
• Address customer needs and resolve conflicts to foster long-term relationships.
• Enforce company policies and safety procedures; report hazards or incidents.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional relationships with clients, customers, and staff.
