Job summary

Grocery Outlet Inc. in Emeryville seeks a Vice President, Operator Support to lead the team delivering strategic guidance to Independent Operators and Aspiring Operators in Training, overseeing Operational Strategy, Field Communications, and Learning & Development content.

You will build scalable SOPs, partner with training, and drive proactive programs that improve store execution, profitability, and the customer experience while mentoring leaders and aligning with enterprise priorities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
10+ years of experience in store operations, strategy, or other support functions within retail/grocery/franchise settings.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
Strong project management, planning, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

Set the long-term vision, priorities, and roadmap for Operator Support.
Lead identification, prioritization, and execution of operational improvement programs.
Develop and refine SOPs for stores with field leaders and partners.
Design and improve training programs, tools, and content for IOs/AOTs.
Oversee initiatives to maximize store potential and profitability.
Own the strategy and governance for field communications.
