Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Indiana LLC in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to oversee daily store operations, support customer service, and develop a high-performing team. You’ll assist with merchandising, scheduling, cash handling, and compliance with company policies while maintaining a clean, well-stocked store that meets standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner.
• Organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping.
• Maintain store areas to company standards and protect assets.
• Supervise, train, and develop store associates with the Store Manager.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
