Job summary

Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) Pensacola Package Store seeks a Store Manager to oversee a branch with several departments, including retail, services, food outlets, and concessions. You will ensure operations run smoothly and align with NEX programs and customer service excellence.

The role requires directing complex activities, planning budgets, supervising staff, and driving sales and cost containment.

Qualifications

• 3 years of general experience in administrative, clerical, retail roles.
• Education substitution: 1 year of higher education may substitute for 9 months of experience.
• 1 year specialized experience in merchandise controls stock records or retail promotions.

Responsibilities

• Directs performance and mission effectiveness of the Exchange and assigned departments.
• Plans and directs operations to achieve sales and profit goals; adjusts staffing as needed.
• Manages uniform merchandise and assistance to military customers.
• Conducts meetings to implement NEX programs and customer service.
• Develops activity budget and controls funds within prescribed limits.
• Identifies, develops projects; submits proposals and manages approved projects.
• Prepares correspondence and required reports on operational aspects.
• Represents the activity at meetings; oversees personnel management.
• Reviews requests for equipment, supplies, etc.
• Upholds policy of courtesy and service.
• Receives guidance from District VP/GM; exercises judgment in all phases.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
