Job summary

Dollar Tree seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in a fast-paced retail environment. You will assist with merchandising, scheduling, and daily tasks while upholding store standards and safety policies.

The role emphasizes leadership, communication, and problem-solving to ensure a positive shopping experience and efficient store performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks related to stocking and store operations.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays and ensure store standards.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and loss prevention.
• Supervise and develop Store Associates under Store Manager guidance.
