Job summary

Ashley Stewart, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager in Southaven, MS to lead daily store operations, drive sales, and develop the team. You will partner with the Store Manager on merchandising, customer experience, and scheduling while maintaining company policies and standards.

Ideal candidates bring 2–3 years of retail experience, supervisory exposure, strong communication, and solid math and POS skills to ensure excellent customer service and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years retail experience; 1 year supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to apply retail math principles.
• Excellent computer skills and ability to use a POS system.
• High level of initiative and accountability.
• Proven ability to prioritize multiple initiatives.
• Detail oriented; consistently meets deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales to achieve and exceed financial plan.
• Assist Store Manager in evaluating the business and taking proactive steps to improve results.
• Assist in setting and monitoring store goals (individual, daily, weekly).
• Assist in managing store expenses and ensuring funds and merchandise security.
• Serve as product knowledge expert and educate customers and Associates.
• Develop staff to ensure exceptional customer service and experience.
• Create store schedules and align with selling expenses and productivity.
• Recruit candidates and coach staff; conduct Take 5’s for daily updates.
