Job summary

Ashley Stewart, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager to execute store operations, merchandising and staff supervision during their shift. In the absence of the Store Manager, you will serve as the manager-on-duty and lead Sales Associates.

You will drive sales, support marketing initiatives, deliver an exceptional customer experience, and partner with the Store Manager on scheduling, inventory, coaching and training to ensure alignment with company policy and brand standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years retail experience; 1 year supervisory preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in POS systems and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales to achieve and exceed financial plan.
• Assist in evaluating business and improving results.
• Develop store goals and monitor performance.
• Manage schedule and store expenses alongside Store Manager.
• Maintain store operations per policy; ensure cleanliness and merchandising.
• Recruit, train and coach staff; conduct Take 5s.
• Build community relationships for grass-root events.
• Ensure exceptional customer service and product knowledge.
