Job summary

Kroger is seeking a Store Leader to oversee day-to-day operations and develop store associates to achieve sales and EBITDA targets. You will ensure outstanding customer experiences, supervise teams, and drive profitability while maintaining compliance and safety across all departments.

Based in the Kentucky region, you will collaborate with Store Leader, Area Leader, and Director of Operations to implement merchandising plans and staffing strategies, with a focus on growth and customer

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales management preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to resolve customer issues effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
• Ability to supervise and motivate a team to achieve sales goals.
• Proficient in basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist store leader and team members in delivering a favorable customer shopping experience through store conditions and service.
• Lead merchandising and operating initiatives in planning and execution.
• Identify opportunities in the store, develop timely solutions, and create action plans for implementation.
• Drive sales with team members to maximize profits and reduce shrink.
• Participate in store-level financial discussions to meet budgets and goals.
• Analyze competitive landscape and respond with strategy.
• Coordinate division merchandising plans and ensure execution.
• Provide feedback to leadership on effectiveness of plans and programs.
• Assist in staffing, reduce turnover, and improve retention.
• Provide timely performance feedback to staff.
• Help manage labor and supply costs daily to meet targets.
• Physical requirements include standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and repetitive motions.
