Job summary

Kroger in Boulder, CO is seeking an experienced Store Leader to drive merchandising and operation initiatives, keeping the store ready for customers every day. You will collaborate with assistant store leaders, department heads and associates to spot opportunities, develop timely solutions and execute action plans.

The role targets achieving weekly, period and annual sales and profit goals, controlling costs, managing staffing and labor, and ensuring compliance with laws and company policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of experience and satisfactory performance as an assistant store leader or in a similar role at the same pay level or above.
• Completion of the Leadership Essentials Program is required or desired.

Responsibilities

• Lead store teams in planning, implementing and executing merchandising and operating initiatives to keep the store customer ready daily.
• Collaborate with assistant store leaders, department leaders and associates to identify opportunities and create action plans.
• Achieve/exceed weekly, period, and annual sales, revenue and profit budgets and other targets.
• Manage labor and supply costs daily to meet customer service and financial goals and ensure compliance with policies and laws.
• Oversee staffing, retention and turnover, provide timely feedback and performance reviews.
• Build relationships with local community organizations and, where applicable, with unions under CBA terms.
