Kroger, a longtime Midwest retailer, is seeking a Store Operations leader to drive daily store performance and guest experience in a fast-paced environment. You’ll coach teams, optimize merchandising, and partner with leadership to meet budgets and growth goals.

In this role, you’ll supervise and motivate staff, handle labor and costs, analyze competition, and ensure high standards for service, cleanliness, and accuracy across departments.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales management preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to resolve customer issues effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
• Ability to supervise and motivate a team to achieve sales goals.
• Proficient in basic math for cash handling and inventory management.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist store leader and team members in delivering a favorable customer shopping experience through excellent store conditions and service.
• Lead teams in planning, implementing, and executing merchandising and operating initiatives.
• Identify opportunities, develop timely solutions, and create action plans to ensure execution.
• Drive sales while maximizing profits, reducing shrink, and improving each department’s contribution.
• Participate in store-level financial conversations to meet budgets and targets.
• Analyze the competitive landscape and respond with strategic actions.
• Coordinate with team to achieve sales and profit goals and implement merchandising plans.
• Provide feedback to leadership on merchandising and operational program effectiveness.
• Assist with staffing, reduce turnover, and improve retention.
• Monitor labor and supply costs daily to meet service and financial targets.
