Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking an experienced Store Manager in Tampa, FL to lead store operations, sales, and customer service. You will oversee inventory, budgeting, HR matters, safety, and loss prevention, while driving profitability and brand standards.

The role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a customer-focused approach. You will manage a high-volume environment, recruit and train staff, ensure compliance with COP/SOPs, and maintain excellent store presentation.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years retail management experience and proven ability direct operations
• Ability to perform in a high volume, highly complex location
• Ability to demonstrate initiative and be a self-starter
• Demonstrated proficiency in recruiting, hiring, and training associates
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
• Ability to exercise independent discretion and judgment in managing a fast-paced environment adapting to change with a sense of urgency
• Must possess excellent customer service skills and work well under pressure

Responsibilities

• Oversee store operations to deliver an exceptional shopping experience
• Read and review P&L statements to identify improvement areas
• Manage inventory using POS systems and cycle counts
• Maintain inventory integrity and supervise cycle counting
• Assist General Manager with HR issues and loss prevention
• Oversee cash handling and communications with finance
• Coordinate facility safety and security
• Ensure brand and operating standards are met and store presentation is strong
• Support budgeting and control of expenses to drive profitability
• Open/close/store operations and supervise staff
• Develop and manage a capable team through hiring, training and performance management
• Ensure COP/SOP adherence and accurate scheduling
