Job summary

PetSmart is seeking a Retail Operations Manager to drive operational excellence across merchandising, inventory, and pet care operations. You will lead associates, participate in hiring decisions, and ensure safe, compliant store conditions while meeting financial targets.

The role requires hands‑on leadership, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple store processes with a focus on customer and pet safety. This is a full‑time, on‑site position at a PetSmart location.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of retail leadership or customer‑focused environment experience.
• Full‑time availability; flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Participates in employment decisions such as recruiting, interviewing, and coaching.
• Onboards and trains associates; supports reviews, labor management, mentoring, and accountability.
• Oversees inventory management, pricing, and store standards; ensures safe and organized environment.
• Manages staffing coverage for critical store processes (pet care, hotel/salon cleaning).
• Drives store performance through merchandising decisions and P&L awareness.
