Dollar General Corporation in Charleston, WV is seeking a Store Manager to lead all store operations, including ordering, receiving, stocking, merchandising, staffing and customer service.

You will recruit and develop staff, monitor performance, manage inventory and cash handling, enforce safety policies, and ensure the store opens and closes accurately while maintaining company standards.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.

Responsabilidades

• Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees according to federal and state labor laws and Company policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provides proper training for employees; conducts performance evaluations; identifies gaps for appropriate solutions and/or counseling, up to and including termination.
• Makes recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicates performance, conduct and safety expectations regularly; coordinates meetings and events to encourage safety, security and policies.
• Ensures that the store is adequately staffed and opened/closed each day with regular opening/closing shifts.
• Evaluates operating statements to identify business trends, expenses and opportunities for improvement.
• Orders to meet or exceed in-stock targets; reviews ordering plan and inventory management weekly.
• Facilitates efficient staging, stocking and storage of merchandise following company work processes.
• Ensures merchandise is presented according to established practices with proper pricing and signage.
• Maintains accurate inventory levels by controlling damages, markdowns, and paperwork.
• Ensures financial integrity through cashier accountability and cash control procedures.
• Provides superior customer service leadership and maintains a clean, safe store environment.
