Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager in Natchez, MS to lead all store operations, including staffing, inventory, merchandising and customer service. You will oversee scheduling, training, performance management and adherence to company policies.

In this role you will drive sales, manage stock levels, ensure cash handling accuracy and maintain a clean, safe shopping environment while leading a team of associates to deliver exceptional service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit control.
• Ability to recruit, hire, train and supervise staff.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred in some store locations.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to laws and policies; ensure proper staffing.
• Provide training, conduct evaluations, and counsel as needed, up to termination.
• Recommend pay rates and career advancement opportunities.
• Communicate performance and safety expectations; lead meetings to ensure policy compliance.
• Open and close the store reliably; ensure daily staffing and operations.
• Monitor sales, expenses and inventory; manage stock and merchandising processes.
• Maintain accurate inventory; control damages, markdowns and cash handling.
• Deliver superior customer service and maintain a clean, safe store.
