The Fresh Market Inc is seeking a Store Operations Manager (SOM) in Virginia Beach to lead Guest Service, Fresh Production, In‑Stock and Inventory Control. You will drive hospitality, safety, and strong execution across daily operations, while managing labor and representing the store as MOD.

A passion for quality, teamwork, and guest focus is essential, with 3+ years in a supervisory role in retail or hospitality.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years of progressive management experience in supermarkets, retail, restaurants, hospitality, or general business.
• Proven success delivering an exceptional guest experience while meeting performance goals.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop high‑performing teams.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict‑resolution skills
• Basic proficiency with POS systems, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Food Safety Certification or ability to obtain after hire
• Must be 21 years of age or older

Aufgaben

• Lead Guest Service, Fresh Production, In-Stock and Inventory Control to deliver hospitality, safety and execution.
• Provide hands-on leadership to Guest Service and operational support departments.
• Manage scheduling and labor to support service needs within labor budgets.
• Be visible on the sales floor and front end, engage with guests and help team members solve problems.
• Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) during shifts to ensure smooth operations and exceptional guest service.
• Coach the team to demonstrateImpeccable Hospitality and lead by example.
• Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
• Support audits with follow-up and action plans.
• Support inventory management, ordering practices, shrink control and operational efficiencies.
• Support workload planning and team alignment to meet daily priorities.
