Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking a Store Operations Manager to lead core store operations, including Guest Service, Fresh Production, In-Stock, and Inventory Control. You will drive guest satisfaction, safety, and consistent execution while managing schedules and labor within budget.

You will role-model our values and coach the team to deliver impeccable hospitality, maintain food safety and regulatory compliance, and prepare for audits and performance reviews in a fast-paced grocery environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive management experience in supermarkets, retail, restaurants, hospitality, or related sectors.
• Proven track record delivering exceptional guest experiences while meeting performance goals.
• Strong leadership with ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Basic proficiency with POS systems, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office.
• Food SafetyCertification or ability to obtain after hire.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Model values of passion, excellence, hospitality, and teamwork in every interaction.
• Provide hands-on leadership to Guest Service, Fresh Production, and other ops teams.
• Help manage scheduling and labor while staying within labor budgets.
• Be visible on the sales floor, engage with guests, and assist team members.
• Serve as Manager on Duty during assigned shifts.
• Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements.
• Support audits by following up on action plans.
• Support inventory management, ordering practices, shrink control, and efficiencies.
• Support workload planning and team alignment to meet daily priorities.
