Job summary

Stop & Shop in the United States seeks a highly motivated Non-Perishable Manager to oversee Grocery, General Merchandise, Health & Beauty Care, Frozen, and Dairy operations. Lead department teams, ensure safety, and drive sales while delivering excellent customer service.

You will coach staff, manage labor relations, and uphold sanitation standards. This role requires 1–3 years of supervisory experience, a bachelor’s degree (preferred), and flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in retail grocery.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent years of work experience.
• Motivated, results-oriented, and a self-starter with a proven track record.
• Strong ability to influence and communicate across functions.
• Excellent multitasking and time management skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of Grocery, General Merchandise, Health & Beauty Care, Frozen, and Dairy departments.
• Ensure departments meet or exceed sales and profit targets.
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards, complying with regulations.
• Direct, oversee, and evaluate training of non-perishable department staff.
• Monitor performance and ensure development plans for associates.
• Foster diversity and inclusion within the team.
• Manage labor relations per company policies and laws.
• Address and resolve employee issues promptly.
• Deliver best-in-class customer service and well-stocked store.
• Coach for efficient operations and cost control.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure stock accuracy.
