SpartanNash is seeking a Store Director for its Middletown, Ohio location. You will lead day-to-day store operations, ensure staffing and training across departments, and drive financial performance through budget management, sales goals and cost control.

Responsibilities include labor planning, scheduling, adherence to safety standards, and executing corporate plans while maintaining community engagement and a customer-centric culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent
• Five years of experience in a retail grocery environment with increasing levels of responsibility
• Two years of experience in an assistant store manager or similar level role
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organization, prioritization, decision-making, problem solving and conflict management skills
• Strong leadership abilities with hands-on approach
• Strong knowledge of retail store operations and retail management systems
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate in Spanish is desirable depending on location.

Responsabilités

• Provide focused and effective leadership to store associates to develop a high-performing, customer-focused store culture
• Manage departments including staffing, training, performance management and career development
• Develop and monitor department budgets and assist with quarterly and yearly budgets
• Oversee store profit and loss, including budgeted sales, gross profit and controllable expenses
• Ensure adherence to safety, food safety, HR, merchandising, loss prevention and OSHA standards
• Ensure merchandising and inventory programs are followed and aligned with corporate partners
• Implement and monitor work schedules and payroll expense control programs
• Lead the OWN IT! customer service program to achieve total customer satisfaction
• Engage with the local community to strengthen the company's presence
• Maintain knowledge of industry trends and implement improvements
