Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a Store Manager for the Middletown, Ohio location. This role leads daily store operations, ensuring all departments are staffed, trained, and aligned with company standards to deliver exceptional customer service.

You will manage budgeting, scheduling, and labor costs while driving sales and profitability. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (Preferred) in Business Administration or related field.
• Five years of experience in a retail grocery environment with increasing levels of responsibility.
• Two years of experience in an assistant store manager or similar role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day activities of the store to meet company standards.
• Manage departments including staffing, training, performance, and development.
• Develop and monitor department budgets and assist in quarterly/yearly budgeting.
• Oversee P&L, sales, gross profit, and controllable expenses.
• Ensure safety, food safety, HR, merchandising, and inspections compliance.
• Coordinate merchandising and inventory programs with corporate partners.
• Implement and monitor labor controls and store payroll expenses.
• Promote the OWN IT! service program to deliver customer satisfaction.
• Engage with the local community to strengthen the Company presence.
