Job summary

Buckle is opening a brand new store at Towne Mall in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, with interviews beginning October 1st. We are seeking an Operations Manager to lead the team and ensure a best-in-class guest experience.

This role oversees daily store operations, promotions, onboarding, inventory, POS systems, and loss prevention, with potential duties across Freight Coordinator and Visual Merchandiser as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related retail experience.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Physically able to lift 50 lbs and perform store duties.

Responsibilities

• Lead store operations and promotions, educating teammates and ensuring signage is displayed.
• Complete pulls, markdowns, and inventory reviews.
• Manage layaway procedures and customer inquiries with courtesy.
• Oversee onboarding and hiring dashboards, and complete onboarding with new teammates.
• Maintain shipment paperwork and receive freight boxes; report discrepancies.
• Ensure policy compliance, loss prevention practices, and handling of exchanges/returns.
• Develop visual merchandising strategies and organize fixtures and shelves.
• Provide feedback to management and communicate store issues promptly.
• Support special projects and cross-store coverage as needed.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area.
