Job summary

Family Dollar in Social Circle, GA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help lead store operations, customer service, and team development.

You will assist with daily store functions, organize merchandise, perform opening and closing procedures, and help train store associates to deliver a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and explain directives.
• Store management experience preferred in retail/grocery/drug store.
• Lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional displays and store fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, process damaged items, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits and loss prevention.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized; protect store assets and cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; supervise/train store associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
