Job summary

Family Dollar in Luthersville, Georgia is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities and support the Store Manager.

• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and be able to stand/walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and processing damaged merchandise; record-keeping including payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow policies.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe environment with customers and associates.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, trash, and presentation.
