Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Fayetteville, AR is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run day-to-day store operations, deliver excellent customer service, and develop the store team.

You will support opening and closing procedures, merchandising, scheduling, and policy compliance, while maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for customers and associates. Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills are essential to drive performance in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures and ensure staff compliance.
