Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Forrest City, Arkansas to support store operations, customer service, and team development.

You will assist with daily functions, supervise associates, manage opening/closing procedures, and help maintain a clean, safe, and inviting sales floor. This role emphasizes leadership, teamwork, and delivering friendly service to customers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and explain directives.
• Retail store management experience in retail, grocery, or drugstore environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and handle frequent walking, standing, and bending.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain storefront fixtures and displays for promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates; ensure a safe, respectful environment.
• Keep store clean, restocked, and presentable; follow safety guidelines.
