Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will supervise staff, manage merchandise presentation, deposits, and daily paperwork under the Store Manager's direction.

Responsibilities include scheduling, training, and ensuring policy compliance, while maintaining inventory accuracy and implementing planograms to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience with cashier functions and generating reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership at the register and help customers efficiently.
• Open and close the store at least twice per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling, training, safety meetings and policy compliance.
• Manage merchandise flow: receiving, stocking, restocking, and displays.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by controlling damages, markdowns and paperwork.
• Assist with planograms and ensure consistent product presentation.
• Support financial integrity through cashier accountability and deposits.
