Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist with supervising staff, merchandising, deposits, and daily operations under the Store Manager’s direction.

The role includes stocking, cashiering, and ensuring profitability while protecting company assets. You may also stand in for the Store Manager as needed, with a focus on customer satisfaction and loss prevention.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and leadership abilities.
• Experience in retail with supervisory responsibilities preferred.
• Able to manage cash handling, deposits, and loss prevention practices.
• Physical ability to perform duties including lifting up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and operate cash register and scanner.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist with scheduling employees, training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Manage merchandise flow: receiving, stocking, displays, and planograms.
