Family Dollar Stores Of Michigan LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development in Farmington Hills, Michigan. You will help with opening/closing, merchandise transfers, promotions, and payroll/scheduling processes.

The role emphasizes maintaining a well‑stocked floor, friendly customer interactions, and adherence to company policies while developing store associates for higher performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store is preferred.
• Able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties as needed.
• Strong communication and organizational skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and answer questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor as needed.
• Perform opening and closing procedures and ensure safety compliance.
• Maintain promotional displays and store cleanliness per standards.
• Assist in ordering, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Support loss prevention and supervision, training, and development of store associates.
