Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Michigan LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily functions, help customers, and ensure merchandise is organized and displays are effective.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, retail management experience preferred, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs. You will work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, coaching associates and ensuring policy

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail grocery or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as part of duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and maintain records (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits).
• Maintain store fixtures, displays, and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, and loss prevention.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized to company standards.
• Protect and secure all store assets, including cash.
• Ensure safety policies followed and train store associates.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, restrooms, and surrounding areas.
• Lead in supervising and developing store associates.
