Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee store operations, customer service, and team development. This role supports the Store Manager and collaborates with associates to maintain smooth daily functions and a positive environment for customers and staff.

The position emphasizes leadership in a fast-paced retail setting, with responsibilities across opening/closing procedures, merchandising, payroll and scheduling support, and loss prevention.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Retail store management experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications related to activities.
• Maintain promotional displays and store-front fixtures to ensure effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record-keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
