Job summary

CNRG’s, Inc. in New Hope, MN is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to oversee store operations in the Store Manager’s absence, exemplify our Mission and Values, and drive aggressive customer service while leading store associates.

The successful candidate will manage merchandising, safety, and budgeted goals, coordinate recruiting and training, and maintain certifications (forklift, DOT, gate) with a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Excellent oral and written communication with customers, vendors and associates.
• Understand aggressive customer service and be team-oriented.
• Able to climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs, and stock overhead areas.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Exemplify and ensure CNRG’s Mission and Values in daily business and inform associates of store expectations.
• Ensure aggressive customer service is defined and demonstrated as part of total store operations.
• Assist in achieving store budgeted goals through key associates and actions.
• Merchandise the retail floor to company set standards.
• Verify merchandise is received, stored and merchandised per procedures.
• Monitor delivery procedures to ensure on-time loading and prompt customer pickup.
• Lead associates in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Assist with recruiting, selecting, and training associates.
• Create a team environment throughout the store.
• Remain certified in all required store certifications (forklifts, DOT, gate, receiving, service desk).
• Complete product knowledge courses and opening/closing procedures.
