Job summary

ShopRite of Jacksonville in Phoenix, MD seeks an Assistant Store Director to lead daily store operations and support the Lead ASD in both perishable and non-perishable areas. You will drive sales, customer experience, and associate engagement while ensuring QA, safety, and store standards.

Responsibilities include directing teams, training, and maintaining policy compliance to deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include ability to make decisions to improve business results.
• Must read/write/speak English proficiently and perform basic math.
• Able to stand/walk for full shifts and lift up to 60 lbs with training.
• Experience leading a team and operating store-level systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day store operations, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Direct and lead associates to meet sales, customer experience, and engagement goals.
• Act as Manager on Duty (MOD) and support the Lead ASD in perishable and non-perishable areas.
• Ensure compliance with QA, safety, and regulatory policies and procedures.
