Dollar General operates stores in Winston-Salem, NC, and seeks a store manager to lead all store processes including ordering, receiving, stocking, presentation, selling, staffing and support.

You will recruit, train and evaluate staff, ensure compliance with federal and state laws, manage inventory, drive sales, and maintain cashier accountability while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures, cashier accountability and deposits.

Responsabilités

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to labor laws and company policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provide proper training for employees; conduct performance evaluations; identify gaps for solutions or counseling.
• Make recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinate meetings and events.
• Ensure the store is appropriately staffed and opened/closed each day.
• Open the store at least two times per week and close at least two times per week.
• Evaluate operating statements to identify business trends and opportunities; manage expenses and shrinkage.
• Order to meet in-stock targets; review ordering plan and inventory issues weekly.
• Facilitate staging, stocking and storage of merchandise per company processes.
• Ensure merchandise presentation, pricing and signage meet standards.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels; manage damages, markdowns, scanning, and paperwork.
• Ensure financial integrity through cashier accountability and cash controls.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and secure store environment.
• Ensure store has tools to perform tasks; adhere to SOPs and policies.
• Complete all paperwork and documentation on time.
