Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an experienced Store or Assistant Store Manager to lead daily store operations, coach Associates, and uphold company standards.

You will manage payroll, scheduling, and compliance while delivering strong customer service in a fast-paced off-price environment. Key responsibilities include analyzing store performance, enforcing safety policies, and driving merchandising and loss prevention programs.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of Store or Assistant Store Manager experience in a retail environment.
• Must demonstrate the ability to supervise, motivate and communicate positively to Store Associates at all levels.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize those tasks, give direction and follow through to completion.
• Ability to set priorities and exercise independent judgment.
• Maintain high quality of Customer service.
• Fluency in English.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead all store operations in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Analyze store reports to evaluate controllable expenses and overall store performance.
• Schedule Associates to meet business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with state, local and federal regulations.
• Oversee payroll administration and scheduling.
• Recruit, hire, train and develop non-exempt Associates.
• Maintain a safe and secure store environment.
• Provide customer service programs and supervise service staff.
• Uphold Ross brand standards and store cleanliness.
• Lead inventory and loss prevention activities.
