Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager to lead a busy Nephi location. You will recruit, train and evaluate staff, ensuring policy adherence and superior customer service. You will manage inventory, schedule openings/closings, and monitor store performance for profitability.

Ideal candidates have retail management experience, strong communication skills, and knowledge of safety, cash handling, and compliance procedures. This role requires hands-on leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year of management experience in retail preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedures.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, hiring and discipline practices including legal compliance.
• Familiarity with cash, safety and deposits policies.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees per labor laws and policies.
• Provide training, conduct performance evaluations, and counsel or terminate as needed.
• Make recommendations on pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate safety and policy expectations; lead meetings for safety and security.
• Ensure store staffing, opening and closing each day as required.
• Review operating statements to identify trends and opportunities.
• Manage inventory: orders, stock targets, and cycle counts weekly.
• Stage and stock merchandise per company processes.
• Present merchandise with proper pricing and signage.
• Maintain accurate inventory; control damages and shrink.
• Ensure cashier accountability and store cash control.
• Deliver superior customer service leadership.
• Maintain a clean, safe, well-organized store environment.
• Ensure store has needed tools and resources.
• Follow SOPs and company communications; ensure compliance.
• Complete all required paperwork on time.
