Job summary

Ralphs is seeking an experienced store manager to lead daily operations across departments in a California location. You will oversee scheduling, safety, merchandising, and human resources while upholding Ralphs and Kroger core values.

The role requires 1 year of department management experience or higher, along with strong leadership and customer service skills. You will drive sales, manage budgets, and collaborate with department heads to achieve store goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED.
• 1 year of experience as department manager, service manager, or equivalent experience.
• Store manager/district manager or direct manager approval.
• Retail management experience & knowledge of all aspects of store operations.
• Staff supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist store manager and associates in delivering a positive customer shopping experience.
• Lead teams in planning, implementing and executing merchandising and operating initiatives.
• Develop action plans and communicate outcomes based on Associate Insight survey results.
• Identify store opportunities and develop timely solutions with clear action plans.
• Drive sales and manage budgets to meet safety, efficiency, and profitability targets.
• Communicate necessary information to associates to help them perform their duties effectively.
• Ensure store compliance with federal, state, and local laws and enterprise policies.
• Provide timely performance feedback to department heads and associates.
• Assist with labor management and cost control to meet targets and reduce shrink.
• Develop proactive relationships with community organizations and labor representatives where applicable.
