Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager to lead all store operations, ensuring effective staffing, training, and adherence to policies. You will oversee ordering, receiving, stocking, and presentation while driving sales and profitability.

You will recruit and develop a team, manage cash controls, safety, and compliance, and coordinate daily openings and closings. Strong leadership and retail experience are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or strongly preferred.
• At least 1 year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Strong cash handling and deposit control knowledge.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to recruit, interview, hire and coach staff.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to laws and company policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provide training, conduct evaluations, and address gaps with appropriate solutions.
• Oversee staffing and daily store openings/closings, safety and policy adherence.
• Review sales, profitability and inventory to identify trends and improve performance.
• Order to meet in-stock targets and manage replenishment and cycle counts.
• Maintain accuracy of inventory and ensure proper cash controls.
