Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams and safety rules.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations including percentages.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposits.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Certain store locations may give preference to bilingual Spanish speakers.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to federal and state labor laws and company policies.
• Provide proper training for employees; conduct performance evaluations; identify gaps for appropriate solutions.
• Make recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations regularly; coordinate meetings and events to ensure safety and policies.
• Open/close the store as required and ensure staffing levels.
• Evaluate operating statements for sales, profitability and inventory issues.
• Review ordering plans and stock levels to meet in-stock targets.
